Recap: Emerging synergies between national and corporate transition planning: Spotlight on Korea
26/04/2026
The TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre) co-hosted a hybrid event along with the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx) and the Institute of Green Transformation (IGT), as part of 2026 UN Climate Change Climate Week 3 and Korea Green Transformation (K-GX) International Week in Yeosu, Korea and online on 23 April 2026.
To set the scene, the event started with a research presentation on Korea’s climate policies and finance, comparing the country’s climate action with its regional peers. The research also reviewed the progress of major Korean companies in their net zero transition while highlighting key best practices and recommendations.
The findings from the academic research, coupled with views from policymakers, academic and market practitioners on the panel served to nurture an important public dialogue between decision makers involved in financing national and corporate climate action.
